House of Hathor

Curated sensory experience and class on Kemetic (Egyptian) spirits and their relevance to modern day artists, performers, and practitioners.

Hosted by burlesque performer Judas Saint James, House of Hathor is an informative and engaging opportunity to learn about Hathor, a divine Kemetic mother goddess of music, joy, dance and sensuality. The stories of her and her many forms show the magic in embracing art and sexuality as conduits of spiritual energy. This intimate and immersive educational experience, provides a safe space to explore navigating spirituality through the eyes of a performance artist. It is a truly unique and beautiful experience that defies the current social norms, yet can be traced back to some of the earliest civilizations. Hathor is also known as the distant goddess, a feline spirit that journeys to other lands to expand her knowledge and return it to her people. In the spirit of the distant goddess, this experience will also include examples of different rituals and dances throughout history celebrating sexuality, queerness and self-liberation all over the world.

There will be an altar set up for observation, incense, and music.
